I was recently sent 2 of Ginvera's latest products which is the Aqua Whitening Cream (with Oil Control) & Green Tea Nude Cover BB Cream SPF30/PA++

I have tested them out, and here's my humble thoughts on each of the individual product.

Aqua Whitening Cream (with Oil Control)

The direction states that I am supposed to apply the cream after cleansing and toning. I did just that, and here's my thoughts on it.

The Aqua Whitening Cream has a non-greasy texture and it spreads and absorbs like a dream. Almost watery in nature I feel. After spreading, I do not feel any sticky or oily effect on the skin and it leaves a cooling sensation after, which is good! It works like a moisturizer and it has oil control too. I did the 3 step skincare routine: Cleanse, Tone & Moisturize before applying my everyday makeup. Since it states that it has oil control, I tested it out for a whole day out and personally, I feel that it makes my face oil faster than before. Quite disappointed at the oil-control, but as a moisturiser alone, it is a good product as it moisturizes my skin sufficiently.

For review purposes, I applied the Green Tea Nude Cover BB Cream SPF30/PA++ right after I applied the Aqua Whitening Cream (with Oil Control)

This particular BB cream has a pretty watery texture and it very light on the skin as compared to other BB creams that I have tried. It is a bit too watery I feel because it drips everytime I want to use the product.

It is a yellow based BB cream so it might not be suitable for pink based skintones. The coverage is really light, as the name implies: "Nude Cover" and this is great if you already have great skin and is looking for something that has just a light coverage on your skin and comes with an SPF for sun protection. Like with all other BB creams, it only comes in one shade and thankfully the match on my skin is not too far off.

I did a test on my hands because I do have some freckles on my hands and it covers the freckles quite well, but it did not fully cover the freckles.

It definitely do not feel heavy on the skin because it is really light, but if you are looking for a foundation substitute, this might not be it because it barely covers the skin. At the very most, it works just like a tinted sunscreen I feel.

I am using both Ginvera Aqua Whitening Cream (with Oil Control) - as a moisturizer + Green Tea Nude Cover BB Cream SPF30/PA++ - as a tinted sunscreen in the pictures below. Eye makeup is by SANA which I featured in another blogpost here.

Sponsored review: SANA Makeup

I was recently sent some makeup by SANA (http://www.facebook.com/Sana.Singapore), I have tested them out for a few days and here's my thoughts on them.

SUPER QUICK MASCARA

I don't really like it at all to be honest. The formula is really runny and considering it is a brand new mascara that was sent to me, most of the mascara clumps around the wand indicating that is is a pretty lousy product. Because of the clumping around the wand, it makes application messy and difficult too. I have tested it out, and yes, it is very prone to smudges and it is not waterproof. I would not recommend this product.

SUPER QUICK LIQUID EYELINER EX

I quite like this eyeliner! The tips is really fine, making application really easy. I used it to apply eyeliner on my bottom lash and it applies like a dream! Tested it out for a day, and no smudges too from using this eyeliner! I would recommend this product.

SUPER QUICK LIQUID EYESHADOW EX

I don't usually use liquid eyeshadows, but I gave this one a try. The application this is somewhat similar to a brush and it makes application really easy. Although it dries up pretty fast, I find that it creases badly on my eyelids. It doesn't last as long if I were to compare it with a powder eyeshadow. I would not recommend this product.

Here's a look that I did using SANA eye makeup. Although their eye makeup is somewhat a miss by my standards, they are pretty affordable and if you are just starting out in makeup, you should give SANA eye makeup a try!

Soap By Nor

A week back or so, Nor, a friend of mine, came over and passed me these! I have tried her soaps before, and I love them! The scent lingers on for a long time!

She runs a handmade, personalized soap making business and I personally think it is quite an amazing business model! Who makes their own soaps?

The soaps are great as gifts and wedding favours. They are also very gentle on the skin ( pH level = 7 ) and they are pretty price-friendly! Go visit SoapByNor Facebook Page or their website at http://www.soapbynor.com/ and show Nor some love! :)
