I was recently sent
SANA Nameraka Honpo skincare line to review.
SANA Nameraka Honpo is Japan's #1 Soymilk Skincare line and it's main ingredient is basically Soya.
What's so special about using
Soya as the main ingredient?
Basically, Soya will do lovely wonders to the skin! I was really excited after reading all these because this is my first time trying out a Soya-based skincare product! I have tried & tested the products out for a week and here's my verdict!
There's 5 steps to do for this particular skincare line and I followed the steps religiously for the whole week!
They have 3 types of skincare range to choose from,
Moisture
Deep Moisturizing
Contained Soya Isoflavone which helps to regnerate back lost female estrogen due to aging
Haritsuya CoQ10
Moisture X Radiant/ Elasticity
Soya for Moisture X Collagen for Resilent & Radiant Line
W Series with Arbutin
Moisture X Brightening
Soya for Moisture X Arbutine for Whitening Line
I am choose the following products for this particular review because I feel the combination suits my skin's needs best.
CLEANSING WASH : Namerakahonpo Haritsuya Cleansing Wash (PINK)
TONER: Namerakahonpo Moisture Skin Lotion W (PURPLE)
ESSENCE: Namerakahonpo Essence (RED)
MOISTURISER: Namerakahonpo Milk Lotion W (PURPLE)
FACE CREAM: Namerakahonpo Cream W (PURPLE)
STEP 1: CLEANSING
The consistency of the cleanser is quite thick as compared to other cleansers in the market. Consistency is similar to that of a toothpaste. It foams up pretty well, but it foams up to a white sticky paste instead of bubbly foams. I massaged the cleanser thoroughly as instructed. It feels really gentle on the skin, almost like a second skin. After wash, my skin definitely feel a lot cleaner and fresher. There is no oily feeling on the face too. Although it somewhat strips my face of its natural oils because it feels REALLY clean, my face did not feel tight, which suggest that the cleanser is suitable and not too strong on my face.
STEP 2: TONING
What strikes me as different for this particular toner is that it has (1)no alcoholic smell, (2)comes in a thicker consistency and not as runny as other toners, (3) and it is lavender in colour. I applied it onto my face right after cleansing using a cotton pad. I usually avoid toners because most of them contain alcohol which I am sensitive to because it stings & makes my face really red. This toner however did none of that and it feels really gentle on the skin.
STEP 3: ESSENCE
The essence is a white coloured liquid, quite pearlized I would say since it reflects light. It is quite runny for an essence, consistency is similar to a toner, just perhaps slightly thicker. I applied this right after toning. It did feel abit rich for face, so I applied sparingly.
STEP 4: MOISTURIZER
The moisturiser, like the toner & essence, is a bit too runny for my liking. It drips, so it can get a little messy. Would prefer a moisturiser that is in a cream form. I applied this as the 4th step and I feel that it is did not absorb into my skin as easily as other moisturisers that I have tried before. My face felt sticky after use.
STEP 5: FACE CREAM
The face cream has a consistency of a cream. Pretty normal I would say. I applied this as the 5th and final step... and by now my face is like really full of a lot of products. LOL. The cream however, applied on it's own (did a test on my hands) is absorbed into the skin fast and did not leave any sticky feeling. Great as a moisturiser too if you have dry skin.
AFTER USING STEP 1 to 5, here's a quick look on how I look.
Yes, my face is really shiny and watery from all the products that I used. LOL. I sleep through it though because I want to test if the product really work (in making the pores smaller and the face more elastic) and I woke up with a much much smoother skin. Did notice that the pores definitely look a lot smaller and the oil situation on my face is much more controlled.
I used it for a week and here's how my face looks like after a week.
Pores definitely look a lot smaller and face is not as oily as before. Can't really tell much through pictures but if you compare it with my older posts, you can see the difference! The products really works! It also did not give me any nasty breakouts after a week's usage and I am really elated with the results it gives to my skin! The only woe I have is probably my dark circles as you can probably tell from the above pictures! Really bad, I barely sleep enough everyday. =/
