Sponsored review: Essential Rich Premium & Nuance Airy full range of products

PS: Pardon the long absence. I was terribly busy & was away handling my family matters over at Indonesia.

I had a hair cut a few weeks back during the 1st week of Raya because my hair was getting wayyy too long (waist length) & well, it was severely damaged & too tangled up from the countless colouring + chemical treatment jobs. So, I made the brave decision and chopped it off.

A look at my current length. Followed Mandy Moore's long bob layered style.

I was recently sent 10 products by Essential for reviewing purposes courtesy of Thesamplestore.

Thesamplestore's sponsored Essential products came during an opportune time right after my hair cut. I had to learn the hard way of having to chop my hair off because I have been neglecting my last 15cm of my hair all these while and it was too damaged to be salvaged. I am not going to let it happen again, so I am going to use Essential hair care range religiously to manage my current hair.

TAKING CARE OF THE LAST 15CM IS THE MOST IMPORTANT BECAUSE...

  • Proper hair care will lead to healthier and better-looking hair. Hair grows on an average half-an-inch-per-month and it is a very slow process. You do not want to waste all that time growing out your hair only to realize you are actually growing out damaged hair which looks very unruly & ugly when it is long.
  • The ends are essentially your "oldest hair" which is why ultimate care is important! Ends are usually brittle and prone to breakage, with a lot of split ends if not taken care properly.

Essential has 2 types of products to cater to different hair needs.

L-R: Essence (Nourishing Care Lotion), Treatment, Conditioner, Shampoo & Hair Mask.
The Rich Premium range makes hair smooth & manageable. This range is more suited for hair that is damaged or requires intensive care.

L-R: Hair Mask, Shampoo, Conditioner, Treatment & Essence (Anti frizz serum)
The Nuance Airy range makes hair light & bouncy. This range is more suited for hair that needs added volume, essentially for limp hair.

I was particularly interested to try out their latest product which is their Hair Essence; Anti-Frizz Serum(Pink) & Nourishing Care Lotion(Orange).

It is a leave-on treatment to give instant results to the hair. Both essence contains high purity honey oil which provides deep moisture for the hair & ultra shine essence which gives hair a long-lasting shine. Like all Essential products, the essence also comes in their signature yummy floral scent.

The differences in the two products is that Anti Frizz Serum (Pink) is a colourless liquid like substance similar to the consistency of hair oil while Nourishing Care Lotion (Orange) is an off-white creamy lotion like substance similar to the consistency of a lotion.

Although both essences are rather oily in nature, the oily feeling does not stay on the palms after rubbing the essence onto the hair.

Here's some before & after pictures.

They definitely do give some instant results!

There will be a facebook contest held at thesamplestore's page, and if you see my picture, just click "like" to my picture. :)

I kept one of the hair essence (the pink one) in my car for a quick hair fix. Really a life saviour I would say.

20 voters will be selected randomly and they will receive 1 Essential Hair Essence of your choice. Not too bad right? So do vote for me okay? :)

Lady Gaga's Meat Ensemble

She does make pretty decent music but come on, I am getting seriously sick of her antics.

Just look at this.

Sick. It's pure raw meat by the way, for the still clueless bunch.

So... it's finally Raya.

This is the second Raya without Mama & the first without Aziz. I do lead a pretty contented life, but I feel extremely inadequate everytime during Raya because I do not have a complete family. This sucks because we were once part of a happy and complete family and we were once, truly contented. :"(

Kotex’s WOW bloggers party

I was invited by thesamplestore.sg to attend Kotex’s WOW bloggers party during the last weekend of the month of August for their mysterious "WOW" product launch of...something. Everyone was kept in suspense!

I went with Vivian (my sec sch classmate). Thank god I went with her, gosh, there's so many people there it would be really awkward if I went alone.

The amount of people...

The event was a pretty nice one, held at Orchard Central Heaven's Loft. They were very generous with the array of food & refreshments for guests and a booth to make your own cupcakes.

They also plan some fun & games for the bloggers where you are supposed to design the boards to form the word WOW.

WOW-ed enough?

I find that it's really innovative of them to launch designed pads! There are 6 designs to choose from, I have featured 3 of them. I especially can relate how frumpy those "days" can get. Some colours will sure to brighten up anyone's mood. :)

What I have been up to?

1. Britain's Next Top Model, latest season (cycle 6, hosted by a new host, the amazing Elle Macpherson) + Drop Dead Diva latest season+ other TV shows related to things alike. TV marathon basically.
2. Celebrated my 21st on the 1st of September. YAY!
3. Enjoying my last few days of my extremely long holiday. (like May 2010 till now) School starts on the 20th Sept. Oh god, I am so blardy rusty.
4. Planning to read a novel a week. Already started with some soapy Nicholas Sparks novels that I have yet to read.
5. Uploading pictures from the past week.
