quit harping on the fact that it is not 2009 yet. i blogged now; only because i already plans for the new year. and furthermore, awal muharam, following the islamic calender, it is already new year last sunday. :D
past year has been really a memorable one, with lots of things that had happened, the tears that were shed and the joy that were shared, so i wish to start this year on a clean slate.
i haven't been going out much, due to my mom's recent demise, so i did a lot of cleaning up in my wardrobe to get rid of clothes and misc that no longer enthuse me [half of which were already given to my maid, lucky her] and get new ones for the new 09.
one fact, is that i hate shopping in malls. i always find that local stores clothes are always one step back in terms of fashion if compared with US/UK's stores. what's on clearance in the US/UK stores are always seen as new arrivals in our local stores, so i took the liberty to shop online instead. minus the killer shipping fees, online shopping always somewhat offer a whole lot more of variety and choices and ease; since i do not have to actually manually hunt for a particular item like say, shopping in a local store. you just have gotta google it. :D
my choice of colours for 09 is more drawn to the darker hues and no bright REDS / PINKS because of mom.

Been looking high and low for something like that. I love clothes and accessories that have rope elements as part of their construction. I know the whole nautical thing is over and done, and I'm fine with that; I was never that into anchor motifs anyway, but I do love slighty yacht-y, nantucket-ish rope details. It's a look that works every summer, I think, whether nautical is in style or not. That's my rope accessory advice, for what it's worth.

My target dresses that I ordered on the 5th December finally arrived. Paid $42.62 in total with shipping out of US to my house and local postage and everything. Each dress cost SG$21.31 with shipping inclusive. Shipping is $6.98 per dress. I guess I have to save them after Mom's 100 days because wearing them now is just inappropriate, the reds.
